Together with members from the Global Land Programme (GLP) Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) Co-Chair Rachael Garrett, SSC member Sofía Nanni, Fellow and former SSC Co-Chair, Navin Ramankutty, and IPO Executive Director, Ariane de Bremond, we have published an opinion paper in Eos AGU (the science news magazine of the American Geophysical Union (AGU)). The piece highlights how most academic structures are still largely organized around relatively narrow disciplinary perspectives, even as the world’s biggest challenges require interdisciplinary solutions.
